So, why would you need air suspension on a motorhome or campervan?

Once a vehicle is converted into a motorhome or campervan, it rarely drives in the same way it did when it first left the factory.

After you've added all the extra weight of water tanks, fridges, beds etc. the suspension is constantly strained - especially on the rear axle. Overtime this can lead to your vehicle sagging, reduced ground clearance (and potentially scraping the rear valance), compromised handling and a very harsh ride.

Air suspension helps with this! By replacing part or all of your existing suspension components it restores balance, suspension travel and ground clearance, improving stability, and making every journey more enjoyable. But how?

Auxiliary air suspension ('VB-SemiAir)' works by supporting the existing leaf spring, strengthening the overall suspension and ensuring the suspension has the freedom of movement to absorb the bumps in the road.

Instead of hitting a solid rubber stop when the leaf spring is overpowered by the weight of the motorhome, the suspension is cushioned by air.

Because air is compressible, it can:

• Absorb impacts more smoothly
• Support additional weight without bottoming out
• Allow the suspension to move through its full travel
• Keep the vehicle sitting at the correct height

Just as importantly, it helps return the vehicle closer to its intended OEM driving position, improving safety and driver confidence without changing the character of the vehicle.
