What is uprating?
Uprating is the process of increasing your motorhome or campervan's Gross Vehicle Weight limit, enabling you to carry more payload.
The Gross Vehicle Weight refers to the legal maximum weight that a vehicle can safely be used at including it's own weight, passengers and additional equipment.
Uprating relies on upgrading the vehicle suspension, but depending on the existing specification of your vehicle may also require an upgrade to the wheels and tyres to ensure they are capable of carrying the new uprated weight. This will be assessed individually to determine what you'll need.
By uprating your motorhome or campervan's GVW you have the capability to carry more without the worry of being stopped and fined for your vehicle being overweight.
Benefits of air suspension and uprating
As well as enabling the uprate of your motorhome or campervan, the addition of a VB suspension product can provide lots of other benefits, most notably greater stability of the vehicle under load, greater safety, and improved comfort characteristics.
