Saltburn-by-the-Sea
Saltburn-by-the-sea (Saltburn) is a picturesque seaside town situated in Redcar and Cleveland in North Yorkshire (the outskirts of Middlesborough). Saltburn has that 'oldy wordly' feel to it, due to how popular it was during the Victorian times. Much of that original charm has been retained. It features Yorkshires last standing pier and you can get to it by the oldest water balanced funicular in the country, The Saltburn Cliff Tramway. If you're heading on a trip with the kids, The Grand Pier is the perfect place to let them run loose for a few hours. Meanwhile you can enjoy a pint at the pier pub and take in the stunning views over the sea. WSM has your classic arcades and plenty of ice cream shops but it also offers some great places to eat and drink, Loco Mexicano being a standout!

Rhossili Bay, Wales
If you're looking for a quiet day by the beach, look no further than Rhossili in Wales. This beach is one of only 4 UK beaches named in the 'Top 100 Beaches in the World' and it is truly is stunning. Popular with walkers, surfers and photographers, its the perfect spot for birdwatching and keep an eye out for seals. Rhossili itself is small and quiet, with a few cafes, pubs and B&Bs. There’s also a National Trust shop and visitor centre near the main car park.
