As a Sales Engineer at VB-Airsuspension, you’ll combine technical expertise with strong commercial skills to support our customers and partners across the UK. You'll play a key role in identifying solutions, delivering product demonstrations and driving sales of our premium suspension systems across various vehicle sectors.

Field and office based (M65 Junc 6) (60/40 split)

Salary to £45k based on experience + bonus + company vehicle + pension

We help vans and specialist vehicles perform better, feel smoother and do more than they ever could before. Our suspension and levelling systems support everything from emergency services and wheelchair-accessible vehicles to campervans and motorhomes.

We’ve run the hard yards to secure approvals and partnerships with some of the world’s major vehicle manufacturers. Think Ford, Mercedes, Volkswagen and MAN to name a few! We have a global reputation for engineering to the highest levels and a customer (and staff) retention rate which is testament to our company culture and service levels.

We’re growing rapidly both internationally and the UK. VB already operate in over 60 countries worldwide and have offices in the USA to Australia, across mainland Europe and India just to name a few!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective customers through on-site visits 
  • Raise awareness of our brand and solutions 
  • Consult on technical requirements at design stage 
  • Manage sales engineering aspects of product development projects in collaboration with our Dutch project teams 
  • Consult on post-build vehicle suspension improvements  
  • Support aftersales, training, and technical problem-solving across the UK & Ireland when required 
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activity, providing insight and proposing strategic responses 
  • Represent VB at trade shows, events and exhibitions 

Who we're looking for:

We're seeking someone who is: 

  • A technically minded salesperson with experience in mechanical or electrical engineering or selling a technical product; or 
  • A vehicle Technician who is looking to bring their experience into a sales role 
  • Naturally curious, analytical, and a proactive problem solver 
  • Commercially aware and customer-focused 
  • A confident communicator, both written and verbal 
  • Independent and reliable with a structured approach to work 
  • Ideally experienced in the LCV market, and otherwise with experience of working with a technical product. 

 

Requirements:

  • Engineering/technical qualification preferred but not essential for candidates with workshop or technical sales experience. 
  • Strong communication and reporting skills 
  • Knowledge of the UK/IRE automotive conversion landscape is an advantage but not essential 
  • Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team
