The Comfort & Handling Package
When you combine VB-SemiAir and VB-FSD (with coil springs) you get a well-rounded suspension upgrade that balances comfort, stability and load handling. It is a very popular package among our customers who want to improve their ride quality without going for a full air suspension upgrade.
The FSDs are placed on the front axle, replacing the standard springs and dampers. The VB-SemiAir is added to the rear axle, in between the axle and the chassis. This combination gives you full-vehicle balance, you've got comfort and handling at the front with load handling and height adjustment at the rear.

VB-SemiAir suspension
Did you know that unlike a full air suspension upgrade, semi air suspension doesn’t replace your vehicle’s existing suspension, instead it works alongside of it? Air springs are installed between the vehicle’s leaf spring and chassis, allowing for suspension adjustment to suit specific needs.
So, the main aim of VB-SemiAir is to keep your vehicle at ride-height, no matter the load that you add to it. It’s a common problem that if your vehicle is ‘sagging’ at the rear that this can lead to a rather uncomfortable ride, due to the bump stop getting squashed by the weight of the load causing it to sit too closely to the axle. This can cause vibrations throughout and create a harsher ride.
You can control your semi air suspension from the touch of a button with our new digital control unit (pictured above) from your dashboard, beside your seat or wherever you find most suitable. Unlike the previous semi air suspension gauges, there is no part of your dashboard that needs to be removed to make way for the install. With VB-SemiAir Use use the up arrows to add pressure (up to 3.5 bar) and then the down arrow to remove the pressure, you can control the air bellows together or independently.
VB-FSD
VB-FSD (Frequency Selective Damping) is designed to enhance both comfort and stability, by damping the movement of the suspension to suit different road characteristics. Unlike traditional shock absorbers, where you usually you have to pick between better comfort or handling, VB-FSD allows you to have both. Meaning bumps in the road are better absorbed which in return reduces vibrations. It also maintains better contact between the wheels and the road surface, resulting in better vehicle handling and safety.
In the Comfort & Handling package, the FSD struts are joined by a reinforced coil spring. Along with the extra comfort and handling from the FSD, the coil spring ensures the vehicles weight and ride height is maintained which only adds to how well your vehicle will absorb road shocks. Essentially, you're getting the best of both worlds!
